Here’s a timeline of what you can expect:

11/8/2021 New First United VISA® Debit Card Activation Begins

ATM/VISA® DEBIT CARDS

You will receive a FREE First United Visa® debit card in the mail no later than October 22nd. Your current First Bank & Trust of Childress debit card will remain active through the account conversion on November 8th and you will not be able to activate your new First United Bank debit card until November 8th.

CHECKS

Please continue to use your existing First Bank & Trust of Childress checks. They will not expire as a result of this conversion.

ONLINE BANKING

Beginning November 5th, you will no longer be able to access your accounts through your existing online banking website or mobile banking application. First United Bank’s online and mobile banking platform, DIGITAL BANKING+, will be available for you to use beginning November 8th at 6:00 a.m. You will receive additional information regarding DIGITAL BANKING+ and first-time log in instructions in the mail.

ACCOUNT CONVERSION

Starting November 5th, your current First Bank & Trust of Childress checking and savings accounts will be converted to a new First United Bank account with expanded features and benefits.

First United Bank was originally chartered in March 1907 as The First State Bank of Dimmitt, TX. The name was changed to First United Bank in October 1994 as the Bank grew into other markets throughout West Texas. Present ownership and management of the Bank began in January 1987 when Ray M.
