In 2007, a group led by Mickey Rogers and Daniel Stanton, both from West Texas, purchased Café Venture Company which was comprised of seven Fuddruckers restaurants located in Beaumont, Midland, Temple, Killeen, Waco, and Lubbock. Today, Café Venture Company owns and operates 12 Fuddruckers in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, making Café Venture the largest franchisee within the Fuddruckers/Luby’s corporate system.

In today’s episode, Mickey discusses the opportunities and challenges that come with being a franchisee, and what he’s found it takes to be successful at it. We’ll discuss royalty rates, the importance of thinking on your feet, and French Toast—what more could you want?

Mickey is all about putting in the work and his “whatever it takes” approach to serving people will leave you inspired—so listen in.

As promised, here’s a link to download Mickey’s Famous French Toast Recipe. You won’t regret it!
