The Seaton’s and the Furgeson’s are a brother-sister combo, and together they make up eight generations currently farming 7,000 acres of cotton, peanuts, melons, various grains and grapes. Farmhouse Vineyards proudly grows grapes for some of the largest wineries in the state – to the most boutique. First and foremost, they are growers. For them, the ultimate reward is not producing boutique runs of their own wines but receiving vineyard designation from their clients.
In this episode, Traci and Katy Jane discuss the unique dynamics of a family business, the beauty (and also the not so glamorous side) of winemaking, and the importance of taking risks to turn your big dream into a reality.
