Cassie Johnston
Founder, Alstrom Angels & Milestones Play Park

Alstrom Angels | Milestones Park

In 2012, Cassie Johnston’s daughter, Bryce, was diagnosed with Alstrom Syndrome, a rare disease that affects under 1,000 people throughout the world. What began as heartbreak inspired Cassie to found Alstrom Angels, a non-profit that raises not only awareness of this disease, but funds for research to find a cure. Cassie’s journey has also led to the creation of Milestones Park, an indoor park designed for kids with disabilities, but open to everyone to foster inclusion among all children.

In this episode, you’ll hear Cassie share stories of resilience, determination, and hard work as well as the importance of community to affect positive change. If you draw inspiration from stories that deal with transcending great life challenges, you will not want to miss this episode.
