- Clean Your Hands Often
Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water—especially after blowing your nose, coughing, sneezing or after you’ve been in a public place. If you aren’t able to wash your hands as frequently as you’d like with soap and water, you should use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
- Avoid Close Contact
It’s important to avoid contact with those who are sick. However, at this time you should also put distance between yourself and ALL other people. Social distancing can help stop the spread of COVID-19.
- Stay Home if You’re Sick
If you’re sick, stay home! Staying home protects others and helps stop the spread of COVID-19 and other illnesses.
- Cover Coughs and Sneezes
Use the inside of your elbow or a tissue to cover coughs and sneezes. Next, dispose of your used tissue and wash your hands for at least 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean and Disinfect
Frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, countertops, tables, phones, keyboards, toilets, sinks and light switches should be cleaned and disinfected daily.
