First United Bank Celebrates 110th Year Anniversary

First United Bank Celebrates 110th Year Anniversary
110th Anniversary
LUBBOCK, Texas – In celebration of its 110th year anniversary, First United Bank will host a ribbon cutting for its new Ray M. Bain Training and Conference Center, followed by a Chamber Business After Hours event. The 110th year anniversary celebration and Chamber event will take place on Thursday, November 30, from 5:30-7 p.m., at the Ray M. Bain Training and Conference Center. This new facility is located behind First United Bank at 5802 4th St, in Lubbock, TX. In addition to the ribbon cutting, the event will feature a Mayoral Proclamation, drinks and heavy hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment, door prizes and a tour of the Bank’s new facility. “We are so thankful for our customers, our First United Bank STARS and the communities we have served over the last 110 years,” said First United Bank CEO, R. Mark Bain. “The opening of our new Training and Conference Center comes at the perfect time—as we celebrate the last 110 years and look toward the future.” In celebration of all we’ve accomplished over the past 110 years, First United Bank will be giving $110,000 in random acts of kindness, contributions and donations all across West Texas as a part of its annual Spirit of Generosity Campaign. $25,000 of these dollars will be given to Bank employees for distribution in Lubbock from now until December 25. The Spirit of Generosity Campaign was created in 2014 as a way for First United Bank employees to live out our Founding Principle of GENEROSITY. Each year our employees receive a discretionary budget of $35,000 total for sharing in random acts of kindness throughout the holiday season. To-date, we’ve given more than $100,000 through this campaign. The Ray M. Bain Training and Conference Center features an 1,800 square foot training facility, two conference rooms, an interview room, a large break room with kitchen, full-service catering kitchen and a buffet serving area. The Training and Conference Center is equipped with the latest technology and was designed to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for both employees and guests. Laura Lewis imagery, tributes to the Bank’s culture and the Bank’s Founding Principles of GENEROSITY, LOYALTY, INTEGRITY and COMMUNITY can be found throughout the building. In addition, the Training and Conference Center includes a “History Wall” which illustrates the Bank’s 110-years of service to West Texas. To learn more about the event, or about the Ray M.
