SUDAN, Texas – First United Bank will make a $10,000 contribution to provide a new roof for the downtown Sudan building that will house Shelby’s Bridge, Gift and Thrift Shop. Shelby’s Bridge is a nonprofit organization that aims to provide a place where adults with disabilities in Sudan, and the surrounding areas have the opportunity to develop, improve and utilize valuable job skills. First United Bank will present Shelby’s Bridge Administrator, Donna Smith with the $10,000 check on Wednesday, September 13, at 10:30 a.m. The check presentation will take place at First United Bank located at 200 Main St., Sudan, TX. “One of our Founding Principles is Community,” said First United Bank senior vice president, Clay Carr. “Shelby’s Bridge is working hard to meet the needs of many in our community so we are honored to support them both with this contribution and with our time and resources in the future.” The “Fall in Love with Shelby’s Bridge” giving campaign is on-going.
