First United Bank Named to Best Bank to Work For 2017 List

First United Bank Named to Best Bank to Work For 2017 List
American Banker 17
LUBBOCK, Texas – First United Bank is honored to be named one of the Best Banks to Work For in 2017. This designation is awarded to only 75 banks nationwide and this is the second year in a row that First United Bank has received this designation. Determining the Best Banks to Work For involved a two-step process. The first step consisted of evaluating each participating bank’s workplace policies, practices and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of employee surveys aimed at assessing the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to their workplace. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top banks and the final ranking. “It’s an honor to be on this distinguished list for the second year in a row,” said First United Bank CEO, Mark Bain. “This accomplishment is due to our talented employees who show their dedication and hard work every day. Our team takes pride in living out our Founding Principles – Generosity, Loyalty, Integrity and Community.” The survey portion of the evaluation is designed to determine employee’s satisfaction levels in the following categories: leadership and planning, corporate culture and communication, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisor, training, development and resources, pay and benefits and overall engagement.
