So it doesn’t matter if you’re a “creative soul” or an everyday West Texan with a great idea. Dream big—we dare you. We’re kindred spirits and will be here to help you make it happen.
What began as a way to instill pride within his east Lubbock neighborhood has turned into a passion within Joey Martinez. While covering up gang related graffiti around his childhood home, Joey realized that he had a talent for mural design. Since that time, Joey has employed his unique style of spray painting to create large works of art and help communities throughout West Texas rediscover their identity and pride.
Nick Billalba’s journey began in one area of study only to veer toward yet another path of artistic expression. While planning a career in graphic design, Nick was exposed to the wonders of working in glass. After years of refining his craft, Nick, his wife, Sarah, and their crew have proven that glass is a perfect medium for conveying the beauty, joy and complexity of the marriage union.
Sometimes the creative journey is a long path. Samuel Morin, known locally as Cousin, started out in carpentry but later realized his drive to express himself through other mediums. He soon found his true calling in designing complex drink creations within the realm of mixology. Now, you can see Cousin and his team craft cocktails that transcend the sense of taste to include the other senses as well.
Some people know what they want to do from an early age. For eleven-year-old Lubbock native, Ross Cooper, guitar lessons led to chords, chords developed into his first song and from that point, the dream of being a singer songwriter seemed attainable. Relocating to Nashville, Ross soon learned the value of a unique perspective born from the south plains. Now you can catch Ross as he carries on the rich tradition of West Texas songcraft on stages throughout the country.
